Intensive Therapy for Cerebral Palsy

What makes the Center different? The Center offers a minimum of 6 hours of intensive motor therapy weekly through our year-round programming compared to traditional 1-hour therapy sessions.

Can you imagine spending only 1 hour a week learning to walk, sit or toilet independently if you have a physical disability? Neither can we! It doesn’t work. Not only does it not work –lack of therapy can result in lifelong health problems like deformities, muscle contractures and an over reliance on the assistance of others.

The Center’s transdisciplinary team consists of experienced Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Conductive Education Teachers that provide individualized treatment in a dynamic setting. The Center’s family-centered environment not only provides skilled intervention for your child, but also creates lasting relationships and support within our community.

The Center for Independence helps children and young adults with disabilities achieve their highest level of independence in the home, school, community and workforce.

Client Love!

There's no way our son would be where he is today if it weren't for the Center. Today, he's running, dancing and wrestling with his twin sister. The team is amazing and have built a real community that supports one another and celebrates each other's successes.

Our daughter is just starting with the Center for Independence and we are thrilled! The staff is so caring, and our daughter gets to see there are lots of other children just like her. She is very excited to participate in therapies with other kids!

~ Karina G.

The Center is awesome! The best part of the Center is the helpful people. I like coming here because they help me be more independent. I learned how to tall kneel and can now kneel in church every week. I also made a lot of new friends just like me!

~ Ethan O.

I honestly don't know where my family would be today without the center for independence. The program is wonderful but the staff is irreplaceable...they have become our family and our life line. Greatest place in the world!!!

~ Center Volunteer

The Center has helped me tremendously not just the physical and social aspect of things that the center has to offer, but it offered me opportunities to be an employee and work at the center. I have grown so much from the center ever since I was four years old.
